WIS and World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is a way to help raise and spread awareness about HIV around the world. In an effort to help do that, World In Sign’s staff member Ayesha (she is also manager of World In Sign, South Africa), created and shared a video talking about HIV and the impact that Covid-19 has had on it.  Watch the video provided below:

WIS and UNESCO’s Gender Equality In Education

On October 12th, 2020, to mark International Day of the Girl Child, WIS provided American Sign Language interpreters for UNESCO’s webinar titled: “Placing Gender Equality at the Heart of Education for a New Generation”. This webinar highlighted the voices of women leaders and girls and the impact of education that has evolved over the last couple of decades.  To watch this UNESCO webinar, click here:  In English with ASL: here   In French with ASL: here

ITU 2019, Budapest
